Apple has officially released the visionOS 2 update for its Vision Pro headset, introducing several new features and improvements. One of the key additions is a revamped gesture system that allows users to interact more naturally with the device. By tapping the palm of their hand, users can now instantly access the Home View or Control Center. Additionally, the update brings the ability to create spatial photos from 2D images, offering a more immersive way to view memories.
Other updates include enhanced customization options for the Home View, support for external keyboards, and an improved Safari experience with pinned tabs and panoramic photo interactions. Notably, the update also introduces a new virtual environment set in Bora Bora, and Travel Mode now supports trains. Moreover, visionOS 2 improves guest user management, making it easier for others to use the Vision Pro without losing personalized data(9to5Mac)(UploadVR)(Redmond Pie).
For Mac users, the update enhances the Mac Virtual Display, offering an ultra-wide display equivalent to two 4K monitors, which is expected to be available later this year. This positions Vision Pro as a highly versatile device for both entertainment and productivity.
